*Birthday Party
Planning *
(Tips, Decorating, & Smile for the Camera)
TIPS
When
hiring a Magician please make sure all guests arrive 1/2 hour prior
to the Magic Show.
Try to have either the Magician perform first or serve the children
their food.
Then if you choose to serve the food first please make sure the
children wash and dry their hands prior to the start of the Magic
Show.
Mail invitations 2 weeks before the party date.
Plan a safe, comfortable place for the party where the children can
have FUN, but will not hurt themselves or your home. Try to always
plan the party indoors when possible. If you have to plan an
outdoor party be sure and have a backup plan in case of bad weather.
Limit the party to 2 hours for children 6 and under. Up to
3 hours is fine for older children.
Include the Birthday Child in preparations as often as possible.
Let him/her stuff the party bags, make suggestions for games, help
with the decorations, set the table, and mail the invitations, even
if that means putting them in the mailbox.
Decorating
Spread
your table cover on your party table. If your child has any Themed
related Toys or Decorations you can add them to the table for a more
festive look.
Use Balloons to mark the party spot; hang them on the mail box, near
the front door, or tie them to the Birthday Child's chair to mark
the seat of Honor.
Smile for the Camera
Be
sure to take a lot of pictures. You and your child will want to
remember this special party for the rest of your lives.
Helpful Hint: Order extra prints and send them to the parents after
the party. Remember, it is not necessary to have everyone in each
picture. Focus on small groups and avoid posing on all of the
photos. Candid Shots capture the laughter best.
